New poll sheds light on how farmers, ranchers will vote for president
Aimpoint Research surveyed 750 producers throughout the nation who actively farm over 200 acres of farmland in the U.S. With each phone interview averaging 10 minutes per producer the research was collected within five days. This collection is a snapshot of public opinion on specific issues pertaining to the 2016 primary election.
Republican or leaning 70%
Democratic or leaning 19%
No preference or refused 2%
Farmers and ranchers frequently say they are very concerned with overregulation, renewable fuel standards, and the overall farm economy. Over half expressing their being “very dissatisfied” with the way things are going in this country today, approximately 60% in fact, while 4% are “very satisfied.” Presidential and congressional satisfaction vary while the president holds a higher satisfaction rating than congress. While 18% approve of the way the president is doing his job only 11% approve of the way Congress is doing it’s job.
Farmers and ranchers voice their political opinions in this political poll. The survey questions were developed by Aimpoint Research consultants in collaboration with Agri-Pulse Communications, Inc. and the American Farm Bureau Federation.
